In July of
2005, a family member introduced the Angel Food Program to me. I later began telling my pastor and his wife, Paul & Celeste
Brintley, of Christian Fellowship Assembly about the program. Pastor Brintley believed it to be a wonderful program and outreach,
as well as an answer to the needs of people in our community. We then looked into implementing the Angel Food Ministries in
our Dallas Assembly. We placed our first order for Angel Food in September 2005 with a total of 16 boxes. In September of
2006 our total was 213 boxes. Because we have a need in our area, as well as surrounding areas for the Angel Food Ministry,
the program continues to grow monthly. It is our desire at Christian Fellowship Assembly to see that this program is made
available to anyone who is in need of good food at a bargain price. The program is available to ANYONE, regardless of income,
race, or religion.
As
a host site, our church takes orders every month and then turns them in to Angel Food Ministries, Monroe Georgia. On distribution day, the church receives the food in a transfer trailer
truck. We then unload the truck and separate the food. As the people come in, volunteers from our assembly prepare the orders
and load them in our customer's cars for them. This ministry takes a lot of work from our volunteers to continue
each month, from taking orders to filling orders. We enjoy the work we do and helping others makes it all worthwhile.
Pray...for our continued
growth!
All God's Blessings,
